Jim’s Story
A life shaped by grace, recovery, ministry, and the calling to help others find freedom in Christ.
Find Freedom. Rebuild Your Life.
At its core, The Veritas Journey is about real, lasting, soul-level transformation. It is built on the conviction that freedom begins when truth meets brokenness and God’s grace begins to rebuild what addiction has damaged.
“Veritas” means truth. That matters because lasting recovery cannot be built on secrecy, image management, or temporary behavior change. It begins when a person is willing to tell the truth, surrender to Christ, and walk a new path with honesty, accountability, and hope.
Why I Started The Veritas Journey
For decades, I have walked with men and women whose lives were being destroyed by addiction, shame, secrecy, and broken choices. I have seen people lose marriages, ministries, jobs, families, reputations, and hope. I have also seen the power of Jesus Christ restore what looked impossible to rebuild.
The Veritas Journey was born out of that conviction.
I did not create this ministry because addiction is an interesting subject. I created it because I have seen what happens when people stop hiding, tell the truth, surrender to Christ, and begin walking with structure, accountability, and grace.
This is the heartbeat of The Veritas Journey: helping leaders, churches, and ministries confront addiction with truth, wisdom, compassion, and a Christ-centered path forward.
What Jim Brings to This Work
The Veritas Journey is shaped by more than ideas. It is shaped by decades of firsthand ministry leadership, addiction recovery work, pastoral care, rescue mission experience, nonprofit development, fundraising, and walking with people through crisis and restoration.
Jim Watson has founded and led inner-city missions, helped struggling ministries rebuild, developed Christ-centered programs for people battling addiction, pastored churches, taught thousands of Bible studies, preached in hundreds of churches, and raised millions of dollars for Christian ministry.
This work is not theoretical. It has been forged in rescue missions, churches, recovery settings, leadership conversations, donor meetings, broken lives, rebuilt families, and countless moments where grace had to become practical.
